After doing our storyboards, the group have gone out and done test shots for our own storyboards.
As a group:
(Storyboard image)
This shot is testing the geeks walking around college, looking suave and sophisticated. feeling high and mighty, however they aren't. The sound will be the cool, powerful `Eye of the Tiger' style of soundtrack.
When testing this shot it went well in college, as illustrated because we managed to get it at a point was enough space to actually film the shot, without being completely empty.
However, there was a difficulty setting up the shot because there was a busy period of time whilst we were trying to film, so we did have to wait a while. Another issue was making sure that people wouldn't ruin the shot or cause an issue of safe guarding.
To overcome this issue we will plan our time well, so that we can film when there are enough people. As we wouldn't be able to get model release forms for everybody in the common room, we could merely just get people's signatures or spoken response, on camera, stating if anybody does not want to be filmed, please leave- so everybody knows what is happening.

This shot is testing the struck dumb shot of the geeks entering the common room and basically getting laughed at. At this point the "Eye of the Tiger" style music will have stopped and there will be an almost silence and laughter, after a couple of seconds.
The shot did go well in terms of layout and the amount of people and the clearness of the shot for the audience to see every significant detail.
However, we will again have to look into data protection. Another problem for this shot is due to the positioning of the camera, because it is a high angled shot there isn't really much support for the tripod and space to keep it steady, to which has caused shaking of the shot.
To overcome our issues, we will set the camera up on a steady tripod and make sure it is positioned well before actually filming with other characters. This could involve another test shot being needed to practice. We also need to incorporate health and safety procedures because it is a high angled shot.

This shot is of the geeks, stood looking a little foolish and having a close up onto the faces of them, in all the geeky glory. There will generally be the laughter at this point to show the character being mocked.
This shot was clear and concise and therefore can be seen. As it is a shot that needs to be solo it was well positioned in terms of there wasn't any people that got in the way and we managed to actually film the shot as planned.
However, the shot is ever so slightly jerky and not as fluent as it could be and therefore should take some practice in order to make it a nice easy movement and one to which is flowing and clear and easy.
To overcome any issues we will plan our time well in order to keep the positive aspects, but we will also practice this shot again, in order to see how to actually do this movement with ease and look professional.
This shot is the pan of the common room at the point when the geeks enter and see the daunting college group all laughing and them and thinking they look foolish and mocking them. At this point there may be silent and then a load of laughter, after the Eye of the Tiger style music.
The shot was clear and therefore easy to see. The room had people in to give off the idea that we had a full room, however without too many to the point that it would be unclear.
However, to get the maximum impact of this shot we intended to have vast amounts of people around, to show the silent and how foolish the characters look.
Taking into account the negatives, we will still take a time like this, however we would get as many people known to have this as a study period to participate- therefore avoiding any safe guarding issues or problems, as we would have permission off each individual.
This shot is the shot of the geeks walking into the common room, feeling high and powerful. At this point there will be the Eye of the Tiger music, to use in a comical way of the exerting of the power.
This shot is clear and concise and it is obvious what is happening. There was enough people there so that it appeared full- but not too many to which it meant that the shot was difficult to organise/ over crowded.
One of the problems that is evident however is that the shot is quite shaky and it takes quite a bit of time to actually get the shot in place. This could be a problem for us in terms of communication and making sure it is a clear, professional shot.
To overcome this, we will further practise this shot and improve the communication issue between the group and the cast, possibly by planning out the timing exactly and being stood in different places. However, if there is a problem, in terms of timing, then there is always editing that can resolve things.
