Emily's Poster Progress

Individually we decided to make up our own posters, in order to all get credit.

Emily's Poster:

First of all I had to open up the blank document. For this I opened up photoshop, clicked file and new. I then changed the title of the document, set the format of the paper to "International Paper" and set the background to the plain white and pressed okay. After this the blank page appeared in front of me.
It was important to have the exact measurements there for the document to make sure that it is all correct and therefore useable for when it comes to the actual printing of the products and such.

I then had to sort out the actual text on the page. For this I hovered over the text icon on photoshop and then clicked onto the blank document. I then just typed as normal with the keyboard. This is important as it is one of the main foundations of the poster as it gives the details of names and releases etc.

As I discussed looking into my flat plans of the poster, looking at other well known and successful posters, I realised that black is not a usual colour used and that red had stronger connotations and would look more attractive. To change this I high lighted the text and then clicked on the colour palette and found the red and clicked okay.

From the flat plan research I came to the conclusion that I needed something to be even quirkier about the  name and what worked was a slant on it. To add this effect to the title of mine I clicked on the text layer and then Edit, Transform and Rotate. When I clicked on this the cursor turned into a little arrow and I then just twisted it around and pressed Enter on the keyboard. After this it came up with the icon and asked "Apply the transformation?" and I then clicked "Apply". This fixed the transformation so it stayed like this.

I repeated the text process again to get all of the text involved that was needed to work for the product and all that I needed.
