Looking into the genre of film trailers it is important to research to find out what genre can fit into the brief and the boundaries for the work.

  1. Jake - the textual analysis is currently not good enough. it's bog standard GCSE analysis. Discuss detail regarding page layout and design, curning and leading - the content of sell lines. the positioning of text and the text to image ratio.

Where is your moving image analysis. this should include both the entire trailer with a discussion of narrative themes/ narrative set pieces/ editing and how that creates effect for the viewer or indicates the genre and iconography of the genre.

Don't neglect sound - voice over, sound effects etc.

You should then provide detailed analysis of specific screen shots. Discuss the composition of the shot, the content of the shot. Why include this shot? How does it create meaning? Provide narrative information?
